The Winchester 94AE Legacy is a discontinued 1990s variant the supplier describes as rare, and this one, serial 6305282, is chambered in .44 Remington Magnum with a 24-inch round barrel. Sights are a front ramp and a tang-mounted vernier peep, with the rear dovetail sight removed, and the action has a cross-bolt safety. The metal is blued and the checkered walnut furniture has a pistol-grip stock and the original butt plate.

Wood is very good with minor handling marks, the metal shows a light speckled patina throughout, the action is smooth and the bore is excellent. A 24-inch .44 Magnum lever gun with a tang peep is a close-cover rifle, and Utah's general-season any-legal-weapon buck deer hunt on October 17 to 25 is where it fits for hunters working timber and brushy canyons; check your unit's legal ammunition in the Big Game Field Regulations Guidebook. The pistol-grip stock and long barrel also make it a comfortable rifle at the range.
