Browning's X-Bolt Pro pairs a carbon fiber composite stock with a fluted 22-inch barrel to bring a 6.5 Creedmoor bolt-action in at 6 pounds and 42 inches. The metal is coated in Carbon Gray Elite Cerakote, the muzzle is threaded and fitted with a Recoil Hawg brake, and a detachable rotary magazine holds four rounds plus one chambered. The receiver is drilled and tapped, one magazine is included, and a manual safety and standard sights round out the right-hand configuration.

Six pounds is the number that matters when a deer unit means miles of walking; this is a rifle built to be carried far and shot once. In 2026 the any legal weapon buck deer hunt runs October 17 to 25 and the any-weapon bull elk hunts October 3 to 9 and October 10 to 16, with permits from the spring big-game draw. The Big Game Field Regulations Guidebook lists unit boundaries and legal ammunition.
