This Patriot is Mossberg's bolt-action in 6.5 Creedmoor sold with a Vortex Crossfire 3-9x40 scope mounted at the factory. The 22-inch fluted, button-rifled barrel has a 1:8 twist for the long bullets the cartridge is known for, the bolt is spiral fluted, and the LBA trigger adjusts to the shooter's preference. The rifle holds four rounds, weighs 6.5 pounds, measures 42.25 inches, and wears a synthetic stock with sling swivel studs over matte blued metal.

Because the scope is already on, a Utah hunter can zero it and head for a deer unit without shopping for rings and bases. The 2026 any legal weapon buck deer hunt runs October 17 to 25, and 6.5 Creedmoor also sees use on the any-weapon elk hunts of October 3 to 9 and October 10 to 16; your permit comes from the spring big-game draw, and the Guidebook lists legal ammunition by unit.
