This Weatherby Vanguard Backcountry, serial VB278977, is a modern bolt-action hunting rifle in .30-06 with a 24-inch round barrel and a radial muzzle brake. It comes already scoped with a Swarovski Z3 4-12x50, the metal is Cerakoted in flat dark earth, the synthetic stock is camouflage, and the floorplate carries the Backcountry Hunters & Anglers logo. A sling is included. The seller describes the overall condition as excellent.

A .30-06 with a 4-12x50 Swarovski already on it is a complete Utah elk and deer rig. The general bull elk any-weapon hunts run October 3 to 9 and October 10 to 16 in 2026, with spike-only October 3 to 15, and the general any-weapon buck deer hunt follows on October 17 to 25. The 50mm objective gathers light at dawn and dusk when elk move, the brake takes the sting out of a full-power cartridge, and the synthetic stock does not care about weather. Permits come through the spring draw with bonus points, so secure a tag first.
