The Colt CBX Tactical Hunter is a new bolt-action rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 20-inch threaded barrel, a synthetic stock and a detachable box magazine. The supplier shows a stock photo rather than the individual rifle, and the listing gives no further specifications, so weight, magazine capacity and finish are not stated here.

A 20-inch 6.5 Creedmoor is a handy deer rifle, short enough to carry through timber and accurate enough for longer shots across open ground. The 2026 general any-weapon buck deer hunt runs October 17 to 25, and the general bull elk any-weapon hunts fall on October 3 to 9 and October 10 to 16, with the spike-only hunt October 3 to 15. The detachable magazine makes unloading at the truck quick, and the threaded muzzle accepts a brake if you want one. Permits come from the spring big-game draw with bonus points, and the Big Game Field Regulations Guidebook lists legal ammunition and unit boundaries, so read it before you buy a tag.
