Mossberg's 500 Persuader Retrograde is a pump-action 12 gauge with an 18.5-inch cylinder-bore barrel, a 3-inch chamber and 5+1 capacity. Blued steel on the receiver and barrel pairs with a walnut stock and a corncob forend, the look the 500 wore in its military and police service. Weight is 6.75 pounds, length 38.5 inches, length of pull 14.25 inches, and a plain bead handles aiming with a manual safety fitted.

The short barrel is there for maneuvering inside a house, which is what this configuration is set up for, though the 3-inch chamber will run 2.75-inch and 3-inch shells alike and the gun works as a utility shotgun too. The listing files it as a hunting shotgun; a Utah hunter who wants to take it into a deer unit should check the Big Game Field Regulations Guidebook for legal ammunition first.
