About the CVA Cascade XT 6.5 PRC 24" Fluted Threaded Rifle, OD Green

The CVA Cascade XT 6.5 PRC 24" Fluted Threaded Barrel, OD Green Stock is a precision bolt-action rifle built for long-range hunting and field accuracy. This configuration from Connecticut Valley Arms marries a heavy fluted, threaded barrel with a radial muzzle brake and a tactical bolt knob, all housed in a fixed OD green synthetic stock with black webbing. The metal components wear a graphite black Cerakote finish, and the rifle comes drilled and tapped with a Picatinny-style rail and a two-piece scope base.

Key Features

• Heavy Fluted Barrel — Why it matters: The fluting reduces weight while increasing surface area for heat dissipation, maintaining accuracy during sustained strings of fire. The 24-inch length optimizes velocity for the 6.5 PRC cartridge.
• Threaded Muzzle with Radial Brake — Why it matters: The 5/8x24 threads accept suppressors or brakes; the included radial brake cuts felt recoil by up to 40%, keeping you on target for fast follow-ups.
• Fixed OD Green Stock with Black Webbing — Why it matters: The synthetic stock resists moisture and temperature shifts, while the texture provides a non-slip grip in rain or snow. The fixed design ensures consistent cheek weld and zero retention.
• Graphite Black Cerakote Finish — Why it matters: Cerakote offers corrosion resistance and a low-glare surface that reduces reflections, critical for field concealment and durability in harsh environments.
• Picatinny-Style Rail and Tactical Bolt Knob — Why it matters: The rail accepts standard scope rings without adapters, and the oversized bolt knob enables gloved manipulation and faster cycling under stress.

Pros & Cons

• Pros: Accurate heavy barrel, effective muzzle brake, durable Cerakote finish, ready for optics out of the box, affordable for the features.
• Cons: The fixed stock limits length-of-pull adjustment for shooters with shorter or longer arms; aftermarket stocks are not yet widely available for this model.
