About the Christensen Arms Mesa LR .338 Lapua Magnum 27" Rifle

The Christensen Arms Mesa LR .338 Lapua Magnum 27-Inch is a production-grade precision rifle built to deliver sub-MOA performance straight from the box. This long-range platform pairs a medium Palma contour 416R stainless steel barrel with an adjustable carbon-fiber composite stock, a TriggerTech match trigger, and a removable side-baffle muzzle brake. Chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum, it’s designed for shooters who need consistent hits past 1,000 yards without dropping five figures on a custom build.

Key Features

• Medium Palma 416R Stainless Barrel – The 27-inch barrel profile balances stiffness and weight for consistent harmonics. Why it matters: It reduces vertical stringing at distance, keeping your groups tight round after round.
• Adjustable Carbon-Fiber Composite Stock – Features a cheek riser and length-of-pull spacers. Why it matters: You can dial in a perfect cheek weld and eye relief, eliminating parallax error and improving repeatability.
• TriggerTech Match Trigger – Factory-set at 2.5 lbs with zero creep and minimal overtravel. Why it matters: A clean break means you’re not fighting the trigger when the crosshair settles on target.
• Removable Side-Baffle Muzzle Brake – Reduces recoil by approximately 40% compared to an unbraked barrel. Why it matters: You spot your own misses and keep the crosshair on target for fast follow-up shots.
• Sub-MOA Guarantee – Christensen Arms backs this rifle to shoot sub-MOA groups with match ammunition. Why it matters: You get factory-confirmed accuracy without needing a gunsmith.

Pros and Cons

• Pros: Sub-MOA out of the box; lightweight carbon stock for a magnum rifle; TriggerTech trigger is match-grade; Tungsten Cerakote resists corrosion in wet conditions.
• Cons: The stock lacks an adjustable cheek piece for cant angle—some shooters may need an aftermarket cheek pad for perfect alignment. The 27-inch barrel is long for suppressed use unless you plan a dedicated suppressor mount.
