This Super X load is a 3-inch 12 gauge shell carrying 1.9 ounces of unplated lead 1 Buck, five rounds per box. The 3-inch hull is the high-capacity buckshot format, and the heavier charge is what you choose when a hard-hitting buckshot load is required.

It belongs only in a 12 gauge with a 3-inch chamber, and the recoil will be stouter than a 2 3/4-inch load. For a Utah shotgun owner the five-round box is a sensible way to pattern the load at the range before relying on it, and Winchester's Super X construction is familiar to anyone who has run the line before. With five shells per box you can pattern at the distances you expect, note how your choke handles the larger pellets, and keep the rest on hand.
