A 1990s Winchester Model 1300 in the youth configuration: 20 gauge, pump action, 22-inch vent rib barrel with an extended removable full choke, chambered for 2 3/4-inch and 3-inch shells. The blued finish and wood forend and stock show light marks, the bore is very good, and the stock is cut to a 13-inch length of pull. The supplier grades it near excellent overall.
The short stock and 22-inch barrel are what make this a first shotgun for a young Utah hunter or a smaller adult: it mounts without the stock catching, carries light and still handles 3-inch 20-gauge loads for birds. The extended full choke suits longer shots, and it is removable if you want an open pattern later. Federal law lets a buyer of 18 take a shotgun from a dealer, and Utah adds no permit, registration or waiting period on top of the Form 4473 and state check.
