The Springfield Armory Kuna is a 9mm PDW-style pistol built around a roller-delayed operating system that is meant to reduce felt recoil. Its monolithic aluminum upper houses a 6-inch cold radial hammer forged barrel threaded 1/2x28, and the textured polymer grip is AR-pattern. It has a 30+1 capacity with two magazines in the box, weighs 6 pounds and measures 18.75 inches overall. A reversible, non-reciprocating charging handle, ambidextrous controls, hybrid flip-up sights and a full-length top rail for an optic complete the set.

Utah has no permit to purchase, no firearm registration and no state waiting period, so the steps at a licensed dealer are photo identification, Form 4473 and a background check run through the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification. The Kuna's ambidextrous controls and reversible charging handle suit left- or right-handed shooters, and its two 30-round magazines and top rail suit range sessions with a compatible optic.
