CZ P-01 – 9mm

The CZ P-01 is a 9mm pistol built around a lightweight, forged 7075 T6 aluminum alloy frame. This design makes it a good option for concealed carry in Salt Lake City and throughout Utah, while still providing comfortable handling on the range or for home defense.

Originally designed for law enforcement and military use, the P-01 has a proven track record for reliability. Extensive testing, including endurance trials against the U.S. Army’s MRBF (Mean Rounds Between Failure) standard, showed a remarkable failure rate of only .05% – averaging 2142 rounds between stoppages. It was selected to replace the CZ 75 used by the Czech National Police after rigorous evaluation.

CZ made significant manufacturing upgrades starting with the P-01 model in 2001, later rolling those improvements across the rest of the CZ 75 family. These upgrades ensure complete interchangeability of parts between P-01/P-06 models, simplifying maintenance and repairs.
